The material is permeable to both air and water vapour, yet effectively repels water-based liquids and aerosols. It also offers an excellent barrier against fine particles and fibres down to 1 micron in size, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. Additionally, the boot covers are ultra-low-linting and antistatically treated, with no added silicone, ensuring they meet stringent safety and performance standards.

The Tyvek® 500 Boot Cover is perfect for use in pharmaceutical handling, chemical protection, lead and asbestos abatement, general maintenance, spray painting, and general clean-up, among many other applications. These covers are certified according to Regulation (EU) 2016/425 as partial body chemical protective clothing, Category III, Type PB [6-B]. They also comply with EN 14126 for barriers to infective agents and feature antistatic treatment on both sides (EN 1149-1).
